Last week we did a speed/velocity lab. Every class did a great job! We learned speed and velocity are the same except velocity has a direction. The formula for velocity is V=d/t. The activity for the fastest speed was hopping or walking backward and the slowest activity was regular walking. What did YOU learn from this lab? ** leave a comment about what you learned with your name by Monday 1/30/12 for EXTRA CREDIT!!!!!!**

*** AND CLASS PERIOD***
DeleteI learned that to find the speed of something, you must divide the distance traveled by the time it took.
DeleteJoey Caruso
Cassy cochrane
ReplyDeleteI learnt how fast an object can go in a specific amount of time.
One thing i learned in science how to find out how to find the speed per second using distance in time
ReplyDeletewho is this? make sure you leave your name!
DeleteMarc Anthony Azar period 4
DeleteI learned that walking backwards is faster than speed walking
ReplyDeleteRiver Williams period 4
River, Thank you for adding the class period. It makes it easy for me to grade.
ReplyDeleteI learned that the different ways u run or walk can make u have different velocities
ReplyDelete-Alyssa m(:
I learned that walking backwards is faster that walking regular .
ReplyDeleteStephanie bazsuly ( :
4th period
I learned that u move faster walking backwards
ReplyDeleteMatthew Evans 4th period
I learned Walking differently changes velocity.
ReplyDeleteManic cook period 4
I have learned during this experiment that walking differently changes velocity..
ReplyDeleteDalton vitale wrote this mrs.cox
I learned that when you walk walk fast hop and walk backwards that your velocity will differ.
ReplyDeleteTanner Smith
Period 5
I learned that walking backwards is harder than it looks. an hoping on one leg is difficult but i did it. :)
ReplyDelete- Nadia Torres
Period: 5
Your velocity changes as you change the way you move.
ReplyDeleteDouglas Black
Hour:5
Different moves change your velocity.
ReplyDeleteAlfredo Ascencio
period 5
The different surfaces make the velocity increase because it goes from bumpy to smooth the n to slippery
ReplyDeleteAustin Korynas
PERIOD 5
I learned that walking backwards takes longer then speed walking
ReplyDeleteCaitlyn hicks p.2
Ashley Gomez
ReplyDeleteI can easily use the formula for speed much more quickly which is really helpful.
Elisabeth King P2: In this lab i use the v=d/t a lot better. It makes total sense to me now (:
ReplyDeletei learned that hudson high school is tech savvy!
ReplyDeleteRudy Period 2, I learned hopping is more convenient than walking.
ReplyDeletei learned how to figure the momentum of an object made it more easy to comprehend.
ReplyDeletedrew douglas period 2
Drew, Please review the SPEED lab we did last week and formulate a new conclusion.
DeleteYou guys have a really cool teacher! Christa
ReplyDeleteThanks Christa :)
DeleteI learned how to calculate momentum and get the average speed. -Cheyenne Petersen
ReplyDeleteRandy Corbit
ReplyDeleteI learned how too easily calculate the speed of something
i learned how to calculate the average speed and time of an objects movement -corey molina
ReplyDeletei learned how to calculate the average speed and time from observing and measuring the lab- renee ldoux
ReplyDeleteI learned that the amount a time a object has to move effects how fast the objects goes.
ReplyDelete-Jessica Hagadon Period 4
I learned that backwards walking is faster than speed walking. Michael Shoben
ReplyDeletei learned that velocity and speed are the same just that velocity has direction and i also learned how to calculate average speed
ReplyDeleteChelsie Stringer 5th period
I learned that speed walking was the slowest and walking backwards was the fastest. Kayla 6th period
ReplyDeleteI learned that walking backwards was faster than speed walking. Ashley Stiller 6th period (:
ReplyDeleteI learned that walking backwards was the fastest.Ashley c. 6th period
ReplyDeleteI learned how too easily calculate the speed of something and that hopping was the fastest.
ReplyDeleteTrisha Steele. 3rd Period
i learned how to calculate the average speed somethin is moving at. i also learned that if u are late to class u should hop instead of walk. . . . 10 points?
ReplyDeleteJonah Izquierdo. 3rd period.
i learned that walking to class is not as efficient as hopping. and that at different paces will give u different times at 5m and 10m.
ReplyDeletebrenden baker. 3rd period
I learned that when you move differently it changes your speed and velocity.
ReplyDeleteJazmine period 3
I learned the difference between speed and velocity is that velocity has a direction. dylan 2nd period
ReplyDeleteI learned that calculating speed is just dividing the distance by the time.
ReplyDeleteJoey Caruso 2nd
